Join us for our second annual Youth Motion Conference & Mission Trip as we travel back to Birmingham, Alabama!
We will be attending the Motion Conference sponsored by Church of the Highlands. Motion is more than a just a conference, or bands and speakers. Motion is about a generation of young people empowered by Jesus, equipped to make a difference, and living out their faith every day! At MOTION 2026, students will be taken on a journey of spiritual discovery built on the truth of Ephesians 2:10 - “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Every student will leave with a God-given vision and focus for their lives – it will be incredible!
Alongside the conference, we will also participate in a mission project serving homeless shelters in the Birmingham community, living out God’s call to be the light of the world. This will be followed by a fun outing where students can enjoy a night of fellowship before heading back home.
There’s no better way to prepare for a new school year than a weekend centered on worship, prayer, service, the Word, and the presence of God—along with plenty of fun!
Basic Itinerary:
July 23rd AM Departure from Farnell / Travel Day / Conference Begins
July 24th Conference All Day
July 25th Conference Concludes / Mission Project / Fun Outing
July 26th Worship Service at Church of the Highlands / Travel Day / PM Arrival back at Farnell
To attend our out-of-state Motion Conference & Mission Trip, students must have served in at least one local outreach with the youth within the last six months. If you have questions about this requirement, would like to learn about upcoming opportunities for your youth to serve, or if you need financial assistance in order for your youth to participate, please contact a Journey Staff member at info@myjourneychurch.net. Anyone requesting financial assistance will remain anonymous.
A Journey Youth Parental Consent form is required to be on file for all events. Download the form below, complete and email to youth@myjourneychurch.net or submit a completed hard copy to Youth Leaders upon registration.
